Violence on the courts
Tik tok, my friend!
We’re just 11 days away from Christmas! If your shopping’s not in the bag yet, you’re on a one-way sleigh ride to gifting your pals some leftover spaghetti or mismatched socks from your drawer! Unless you plan to re-gift Aunt Edna’s fruitcake from last year, get your tinsel in a tangle and hit those stores!
Here’s your Thursday news update:
Whites not invited
Draymond Green ejected
Whites not invited
Did you see Boston's mayor is in hot water for a holiday party invite mess?
Mayor Michelle Wu? What happened?
She meant to invite only "electeds of color" to a shindig, but oops, it went to everyone. People are calling her "Woke Wu."
Yikes. That's awkward. Who got the accidental invite?
All the city councilors, including the white members... talk about a faux pas.
So, what was the follow-up? Damage control?
Yeah, her aide sent out an "Oops, sorry!" email but didn't backpedal on the exclusive party idea.
Not exactly a picture of unity, huh?
Some are upset. Councilor Baker called it "divisive." But Councilor Worrell's cool with it.
I get representation, but you don't build bridges by making invite lists that exclude.
McCormack's comment hit hard. Said Boston and race issues are like old pals. Not a good look.
Honestly, unity isn't about color-coded parties. It's about hearts set on peace. Colossians 3:14, for the win. "And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."
Draymond Green ejected
Draymond Green is benched indefinitely. Dude clocked Jusuf Nurkić right in the kisser!
No way! His temper overshadows the game. The dude needs self-control.
Yeah, his temper's hotter than a pepper sprout. Ejected 18 times! The Warriors can't seem to handle him.
True leadership is servant-hearted, not self-serving. Green seems to struggle with that.
Talk about jumping ship, Bob Myers left his GM post at just the right time. Smart move, huh?
It seems Myers avoided the storm. Leadership is stewardship; it's temporary and you're accountable for it.
Myers is out there chilling while Mike Dunleavy Jr. gets the hot seat.
Praying Dunleavy seeks wisdom and acts justly in handling the team's challenges.
Everyone's saying Myers is gonna cash in big time when he decides to return. Timing's everything!
As it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Let’s hope that in this season, the focus returns to integrity and respecting each other, on and off the court.
Think these emails are too short? Just right? Too long? Cast your vote on the poll below and leave a note!
