Behold, your Thursday edition of High on Christ has arrived! In today’s lineup, we’ve got New York claiming that Zelle is basically an ATM for scammers, and an Alaskan rendezvou between two world leaders.
Let’s get into it.
THE NEWS
Scams on Zelle
Zelle has been scamming me out of my money!
New York is suing them for the scams.
Wait… how did Zelle scam you?!
Well, THEY didn’t scam me. But the Attorney General says Zelle’s security is incredibly weak.
They’re responsible for allowing over a billion dollars in scams since 2017.
Maybe people fall for scams regardless of the platform?
Is it even Zelle’s fault?
Easy for you to say.
I lost $600 to a fake utility bill on Zelle.
Scammers have been getting really good, especially with AI.
That stinks. But I heard Zelle claim that 99.95% of transactions are safe.
So 5 scams out of every 10,000 transactions? That’s pitiful.
One guy even lost $2600 trying to buy a puppy. Zelle and Chase wouldn’t help him.
Okay, but Zelle has a TON of warnings every time you send money.
So you're saying it's my fault?
I'm saying evil people exploit trust.
But sure, Zelle could always do better.
I agree. Maybe we all need more training on how to spot scams.
Exactly. Like Proverbs says, "The prudent see danger and take refuge."

Trump vs Putin
So Trump’s meeting Putin in Alaska this week.
Good. Time to end the war.
Without Ukraine there?
That’s not how peace talks work.
It’s just a first step.
You can’t make peace without talking to the guy who started it.
But it makes Putin look legit.
He’s wanted by an international court for war crimes.
That’s why they’re meeting on a U.S. base in Alaska.
No court jurisdiction there.
Still feels wrong.
Like cutting a deal behind Ukraine’s back.
Or using U.S. leverage to stop the bloodshed faster.
There’s also talk Trump might pitch a minerals deal.
That could tie into energy and tech production.
And maybe it’s a carrot to get Putin to agree to a ceasefire.
Or it’s a distraction from the main issue... Ukraine’s land.
Trump did warn of “very severe consequences” if Putin refuses.
Could be just talk.
Maybe. But I’d rather see talks than endless war funding.
I’d rather see talks led by the people fighting for their country.
Fair. But we both want the killing to stop.
Yeah… peace matters more than winning the argument.
