Welcome back to High on Christ! Grab your popcorn, because the world’s first trillionaire and a California congressman are going at it in public.

Let’s see what our crazy world’s been up to.

The Bullets

Trillionaire vs Congressman

Did you see Elon Musk and a congressman are basically at war online?
Which congressman?
Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California.
What started it?
Khanna said the cuts Elon made to USAID through DOGE could lead to millions of kids' deaths. Musk says that's false and threatened to sue him.
Sue a congressman? Over a post?
Pretty much. Musk even started calling him "Ro the Robber."
Classy. What did Khanna do?
Challenged Musk to a live debate. CNN, CNBC, a university, anywhere.
And didn't Musk just became a trillionaire?
The first one ever. Khanna wants to tax that fortune.
So it's the richest man alive vs. a guy who wants his money.
And the whole internet grabbed popcorn.
Funny how much energy we'll spend watching two powerful men fight.
Right? And neither one is anybody's savior.
"Put not your trust in princes." Trillionaires too, apparently.

Spiritual Perspective

Two powerful men, a lawsuit threat, and a debate challenge, and somehow we’re all watching.

It is easy to pick a side.

But Scripture keeps pulling our eyes higher: “Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation” (Psalm 146:3). Whether a man is worth a trillion dollars or holds a seat in Congress, he cannot carry the weight we keep handing him. Render your opinions and cast your votes, but set your hope on the King who never loses.

Inspiring Quote

The central basis of Christian assurance is not how much our hearts are set on God, but how unshakably his heart is set on us.
