  • Fired for her faith, then vindicated: A federal appeals court revived the case of a Kaiser Permanente worker of 20+ years who was fired after asking for a religious exemption to the COVID shot. The court said her employer wrongly grilled her on how sincere her faith was.

  • A missile at an arms show: A Russian missile hit a defense industry event near Kyiv, killing 10 and hurting nearly 100. Zelensky blasted Russia, but also said the event never should have been held there.

  • Trump vs. Europe: After the EU fined Google about $1 billion, Trump ordered an investigation into Europe "robbing" American tech companies and threatened tariffs. His words: America is "not a PIGGYBANK."

  • Sold out in hours: Sophie Cunningham's new Adidas shoes sold out fast, days after the WNBA star stood her ground on keeping biological men out of women's sports.

Pastor vs. ChatGPT

A former pastor is suing OpenAI. Says ChatGPT almost killed him.
Ok that's a sentence. What happened?
He had dizzy spells and blood pressure problems. Asked the chatbot about it. Hundreds of messages over six weeks.
And it told him what?
Stay home. Rest. You're fine. Don't rush to a doctor.
Six weeks of that??
He ended up in intensive care with a huge blood clot in his lungs. Nearly died.
Wait. So resting that long is what caused it?
His doctor said sitting still that long was part of why the clots formed. That's in the lawsuit.
Man. But here's the part I keep stuck on. Why did he trust a chatbot for six weeks?
That's the creepy part. The lawsuit says it started talking to him in faith language.
Meaning what?
Hours before he was hospitalized, he asked about pain. It told him "God did not design your body to endlessly fail."
A chatbot said that? That's not medical advice, that's a sermon.
That's the claim. OpenAI says ChatGPT isn't a doctor and shouldn't replace one.
Fair. But if a machine talks like your pastor, you stop hearing a machine.
Which is exactly the thing to watch out for.

Spiritual Perspective

A machine can borrow the words of faith without knowing God at all, and that should make us slow down. Scripture tells us to "test everything; hold fast what is good" (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Use the tools, but keep real people around you: doctors for your body, the church for your soul. A chatbot can sound comforting. It cannot pray for you.
