Welcome back to High on Christ! Think back to what you were doing at 14. Braces? Homework? Whatever it was, it probably didn't involve Billboard. But first…

Here's what the world is up to.

The Bullets

  • Preach on: Police in Fort Worth threatened to ticket street preachers outside a Pride festival. Now the police chief admits his officers were wrong, and the whole department is getting free-speech training.

  • Wolf in the pulpit?: Federal prosecutors say a Texas pastor used his own church to trick donors out of $3.2 million. Nothing is proven yet; his trial starts in October.

  • Wall Street reads Truth Social now: Trump Media is selling banks and trading firms the fastest access to Trump's posts. Why? Because one post from the president can move markets before your phone even buzzes.

  • Another choke point: Reuters reports Iran told its allies in Yemen, the Houthis, to get ready to block ships from entering the Red Sea if America strikes Iran's power grid. That would cut off both of the region's main oil routes at once.

Something to Believe In

Quick question. What were you doing at 14?
Failing algebra and playing Xbox. Why?
Because there's a 14-year-old from South Carolina charting on Billboard right now. Christian music. Kid named Tate Butts.
Hold on, Billboard? At 14?
His first single "My Defender" hit the Hot Christian Songs chart. And he just dropped a full EP called Something To Believe In that he co-wrote himself.
How does that even happen?
He got on stage with Brandon Lake at one of his concerts, and it kind of exploded from there. He's got hundreds of thousands of followers now.
Brandon Lake, the Hard Fought Hallelujah guy?
That's the one. They sang it together. He's also done a song with Forrest Frank about praying grandparents.
Man. Kids his age are doing skibidi brainrot and he's out here making worship music.
Right? And the songs aren't about being famous. They're about actually believing something.
Ok I'm rooting for him. What's the EP called again?
Something To Believe In. Seven songs. Go give it a listen.

Spiritual Perspective

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12). God has never checked IDs before using someone. Pray this young man stays humble, stays grounded, and keeps pointing people to Jesus.
