The Bullets

  • Man vs. robot: A video making the rounds shows creator Frankie LaPenna fighting a six-foot robot at REK’s Friday event. A person controlled the machine. It wasn’t choosing punches and kicks on its own.

  • Shirley’s job pitch: Independent journalist Nick Shirley, known for investigating suspected daycare fraud, asked to work for Elon Musk’s X on Sunday. He says reporting in person has become too dangerous.

  • School funding fight: Mid Vermont Christian School heads to court Tuesday over state tuition aid. Its lawyers say Vermont shuts out religious schools. They’re asking an appeals court to step in.

  • More church arrests: Pastors and workers from Beijing’s Jiaquan Church were taken into custody, ChinaAid said Monday. The Christian rights group is still checking how many were held and what charges they face.

Press Fights Back

CNN, MS NOW, and Politico are suing Trump over being barred from the White House.
I saw that. Fox joined ABC, CBS, and NBC in pushing back too.
All five networks stopped their shared TV coverage Monday. CNN is the fifth.
Wait, they all use the same cameras?
For some coverage, yeah. The networks take turns filming and share the footage.
CNN was supposed to cover Trump’s New York trip. They got blocked.
So this affects what other networks can show too.
Exactly. They usually take turns, even though they compete for viewers.
Trump says those outlets put out false news, right?
Yeah. His team says getting into the White House is a privilege, not a right.
They can still report on him, though. Just without that access.
They can. But the outlets say he can’t shut them out over coverage he dislikes.
Has a judge said whether they can go back in?
Not yet. There’s a hearing Wednesday. They’re asking to get back in while the case continues.
