Idiot Mocks Matthew Perry

As the weekend dawned, Friends star Matthew Perry was found “unconscious in a stand-alone jacuzzi.” Firefighters arrived, removed him from the tub, and determined that Perry was deceased prior to first responder arrival. There was no suspicion of foul play.

Matthew Perry’s character, Chandler Bing, resonates with a generation that found comfort and laughter in Friends. While the show was far from perfect, it left a memorable impact on millions of lives.

You will be truly missed, Miss Chanandler Bong.

Biblical perspective: In the wake of such news, washed up SNL alum responded on X remarking, “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB. HAHAHAHA.”

The alum’s name is not worth mentioning.

This cruel insensitivity demonstrates the depth of spiritual poverty that underlies our broken human state. We are all capable of falling to such depths of depravity (Mark 7), and must constantly pray for sanctification.

Shani Louk, kidnapped by Hamas, declared dead

On October 7, the 23-year-old German-Israeli woman was kidnapped as Hamas launched their surprise barrage on Israel. Forensic examiners found a bone fragment from her skull. A DNA test confirmed that the fragment belonged to Louk.

Louk was kidnapped at the music festival. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs claim she was “tortured and paraded around Gaza by Hamas terrorists” and that she “experienced unfathomable horrors.”

Biblical Perspective: This world is tragically marred by sin, violence, and hatred, putting innocent lives like that of this young woman in unspeakable peril. Remember that every human being is made in the image of God (Genesis 1). Everyone deserves dignity & respect, and everyone needs fervent prayer.

Biden Tries to Regulate AI

President Biden’s executive order on AI regulation has sparked controversy. Developers are required to prove their software doesn’t pose a public safety threat. Generated images may require watermarks. And while Kamala Harris aims to prevent “algorithmic discrimination,” critics claim the Biden administration is attempting to make AI “woke.”

The emergence of ChatGPT and DALL•E threw the world into a frenzy. The fear of job loss and dehumanization is palpable. Concurrently, there’s an appreciation for AI to boost human advancement.

Biblical Perspective: AI is largely trained on content generated by humanity. As it evolves, it will become a mirror that echoes both the brilliance and fallenness of mankind. While we acknowledge the dangers of AI, we can also embrace its benefits to amplify our efforts in proclaiming the gospel.
