The Bullets

  • The robot that gave up: Qualcomm showed off its new AI robot on stage, and the thing folded over and collapsed mid-demo. Crew rushed out a tarp. The internet has not stopped replaying it.

  • Killed hours after a debate: A 25-year-old pastor in Uganda was found dead the same night he debated a local imam, a debate where two Muslim women decided to follow Jesus. Witnesses say the imam threatened him afterward. Police are still looking for suspects.

  • Oil drops as the guns go quiet: After 13 days of strikes, the U.S. paused, and Iran said it stopped too. Oil fell about 6% on the news. A few quiet hours moved billions of dollars.

  • Dolls in the classroom: Minnesota will offer transgender dolls with removable body parts to educators working with kids as young as 4. Backers call it a therapy tool. Critics say 4-year-olds can't process it.

You know that Nigerian pastor Trump reposted a while back? Ezekiel Dachomo.
The one who films the funerals?
That's him. Militants hit his family's compound this month. Killed nine of his relatives.
Nine?
Including a two-month-old baby.
I don't even know what to say to that.
Witnesses say they were asking where HE was before they opened fire.
So they came for him and killed his family instead.
Then they sent him a letter. Basically: you're next, same as them.
Please tell me he left the country.
Nope. Still there. Still posting. Still burying people and telling the world what's happening.
That's either the bravest or the most stubborn man alive.
He'd probably say there's no one else to do it.
What do we even do from here?

Spiritual Perspective

Two pastors this week: one buried his family and stayed, one was killed the night two women came to Christ. It's tempting to look away because it's heavy. Don't. "Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them" (Hebrews 13:3). Pray for Ezekiel Dachomo by name, and for Bernard Mulongo's wife and two kids.
