It can do that?

Good. That city’s a war zone
War zone? Violent crime’s actually down 26 percent this year.
And 35 percent last year.
Still one of the most dangerous capitals in the world
He’s not wrong to act
He invoked the Home Rule Act. That’s supposed to be for real emergencies.
This is real. Gangs, fentanyl, carjackings, etc
Mayor Bowser says it’s at a 7 year low.
Even the Attorney General says this takeover is “unlawful.”
Yeah and they sued him when he sent troops to LA in June too
That’s different. This is 800 National Guard in the capital.
And only 100 to 200 even on duty at once
That’s hardly martial law
Still, federalizing a city’s police is huge. What’s next? Philly? Chicago?
If the crime is bad enough? Maybe
Or maybe it’s about flexing power over a Democrat-run city.
Who knows?
Any which way, I wouldn't lean too hard on politics
Only so much we can do
True. Guess the first thing we should do is lean on God and pray.
Amen to that. Our security isn’t in who runs the city, but in who reigns over eternity.
